Is there a free trial?
Yes. 30 days with every module included, and no card needed. We remind you 7 days and 1 day before it ends.
How do we pay for SAMS?
After the trial, choose a plan in Settings → Subscription and pay by card, or ask for an invoice and pay by bank transfer. Yearly billing is the default; monthly costs 20% more.
Do teachers and parents cost extra?
No. Staff accounts and the parent portal are included. You pay only for enrolled students, with a minimum per plan.
Is there a phone app?
Yes. Parents and teachers install SAMS on Android or iPhone straight from the browser, with no app store, and get instant notifications for free.
Does SAMS send WhatsApp messages?
Yes. Absence, fee and announcement notices go out on WhatsApp from the official SAMS number. Your school sets nothing up; it only buys a message pack.
Is it really in Arabic?
Yes. The whole app, the parent portal, printed documents and emails work in Arabic with right-to-left layout, and switch to English in one click.
Can we host it ourselves?
Yes. SAMS Self-hosted runs on your own Linux server with Docker, installed with one command. Your licence key is checked offline, so it keeps working without an internet link.
Can we move our existing data in?
Yes. Import students, families and staff from spreadsheets, and we can do the setup for you with the onboarding package.
What happens if we stop paying?
You get 14 grace days with everything working, then 60 days where you can view and export your data but not change it. You can export everything at any time.
Can parents pay fees online?
Yes, through your own PayTabs or HyperPay account, so money goes straight to your school.
Do you support international programmes?
Yes. Run the national curriculum next to British, IB, American or French programmes, each with its own grading scale, fees and report cards. A programme can be priced in US dollars; your books stay in your own currency.
Can students have their own login?
Yes. Turn it on for any student: they see their timetable, homework, quizzes, exams and report cards — never fees or anyone else’s records. Student logins are free.
Can our external auditor get access?
Yes. Give them the Auditor role with an end date: they read the books, approve, and download the year-end file, and their access stops by itself.
